South facing window
This is where the big action should happen, because this window is on the south. but to be honest it wasn’t that great this year. first of all I tend to neglect this place because I don’t spend so much time in the living room, second because my plants got spidermite. for those who don’t know this is a mite that sucks dry plants, they mate like crazy, and do well in hot and dry condtions. I was late with taking action. I quarantined my plants behind my kitchen where its wet and cold and where there are natural predators (other mites). I also sprayed the plants with a mix of water, vinegar and dishsoap, this kinda works. I saved what I could and got a few tomatoes and peppers this year.
Tomato
Grows behind my window, does somewhat well there, gotta love tomatoes.

Red Peppers
I feel it is rewarding to grow spices/peppers when space is limited because you don’t need a lot to make them count π I dry them, and cook with them ofcourse.

Camomille
Started to late, doesn’t have big enough pot. sorry bro.

Sage
Gotta keep the mean spirits away π

kitchen
Beech
This one I kidnapped from the forest earlier this year, Maybe I’ll eat it’s leaves in a fresh salad in the near future.
Perennial kale
Got a clone from my community garden, Awesome plant, it survives winter, is consistent with it’s produce, tastes good, and looks nice. It is similar to Kale, Broccoli and Cauliflower.
Horse mint
perennial plant, tastes minty or like anis. attracts (bumble)bees, and is cute.

Oak and zone 5
As you might know it is common practice in permaculture to have a piece of land that is left for nature to roam on, this will improve biodiversity on your land and in general. my silly equivelant is my balcony on which I have 3 pots with ‘nature’. I don’t like buying pots and plants, so I scavenge them. I found a big pot with a baby oak in it 2 years ago, and I gave him a home. the other pot is some random stuff I don’t know the names off, A limetree sprouted but it died unfortunately.
