Hello to anyone if you are reading this, at the moment it feels like talking to the void because I don’t think anything is reading it (yet) but I’m happy to write something, even if it is just for myself.
This week I started my Permaculture Design Course. I went by train to Amersfoort and walked through the lovely city to the location of the pdc. It was held at the WAR, which is a collective of pioneers and free thinkers that just moved into a new building. The lessons were outside, our teacher seemed good and to know her stuff. Alot was practical stuff on this first day, we did an exercise in observing and learned about the principles. We also got a tour through the building, which is still under construction but will be an amazing creative place. It will feature a library, experimental theater, workplaces, place for printing t-shirt’s and so on.
The rest of the scholars are a bit older than me, and come from different backgrounds, have interesting plans and are nice people. Here and there I will have some trouble fitting in as is to be expected with me.
I’m excited, I want to learn this stuff, I am thinking of what place I will be using for my end project. maybe a plot of land in slovenia near my family, or something elso. I don’t know yet. it will come with time.
My current homework is to observe something near my house so I picked the park, I walked mindfully through it and just looked, slowly I start to see and notice things, that I already kinda knew but are now more recognizeable as I look for it. think off more diversity on edges, trees slowing down rainwater as it just rained, not alot of undergrowth were the trees cover everything and so on.
